Our robotic cutters are extremely flexible and can work in pipes between 75mm and 250mm in diameter. Robotic cutters have a multitude of uses including tree root removal, obstruction removal from sewer and stormwater pipes and reinstatement of junctions relined over during the pipelining process.

In one instance, our robotic cutter was used to remove concrete from drains located beneath a newly renovated bathroom. This prevented having to destroy the new bathroom floor to excavate and access pipes.
On occasion, we come across tree roots that are impossible to remove using either a high-pressure jet or electric eel due to the size of the root. In this instance, a robotic cutter will easily cut out and remove the tree root from the pipework.

How it works:
- Robotic cutters a remotely controlled and powered by high-pressure air
- The robotic cutter is inserted into the drain and pushed to the desired position
- Once in position, a bladder is inflated to lock the cutter in place
- A camera on the front of the cutter gives the operator a clear view of the obstruction
- The robotic cutter is them remotely operated from the access point to remove the obstruction from the pipework
